Wondering if anyone has booked hotel/Universal tickets through the Universal website? Wondering if it is safe.

Thinking of booking the Fairfield Inn/Suites International Drive as it is offering 2 nights plus 3 early bird 2 park 7 days passes for a grand total of $450 US.

Every time my family has taken a trip to Universal we've always bought our tickets directly through the Universal Orlando website. It's cheaper than CAA, Sears Travel and everywhere else we've looked. We've never had any problems getting the tickets and the website seems to be very secure.

I'd say go for it, for the tickets anyway. I'm not too sure about the hotel becuse we've always stayed on-site and booked directly through the hotel. Given that we've never run into anything with the tickets I'm sure it would be fine for the hotel. :)

You'll have no problems with Universal online. We always use their site to book rooms. You can also use their 800 number which goes to their call center in New Brunswick.

We booked through the Loews site because we stayed onsite, but bought our tickets through the universal site. If you can - stay on site - I know it's super expensive but if there's any way you can afford it the time saving (not waiting in lines - front of line pass) and the ability to walk to the parks is an invaluable time savings. Especially when we are travelling so far from Canada every minute down there is invaluable. We loved the convenience and the whole experience of staying onsite at HRH. We stayed on the Club Level and spent virtually nothing on food and drinks, one fast food meal a day. Sorry - I know this wasn't the question you asked so feel free to tell me to mind my own business! :grouphug:

I was amazed when I called the Universal 800 # and found out I was speaking to a guy in New Brunswick, originally from Newfoundland. We had a nice little chat. I've since booked with the Fairfield Inn/Suites and ordered my tickets for the park on line. To get them at the park, I guess you use the credit card you used to purchase them. :cool1:

Thanks for the info. I would love to stay at one of the Universal resorts but just can't afford it. We are going in February and I hear the crowds there are not too bad. We are 4 siblings ranging in age from 45-61. My brother has a home in Florida so we will spend some time with him than the 4 of us will head to Orlando. We're so excited - just like kids!! :cool1:

I'm not sure how that works as we have Annual Passes. But if my memory serves me right, they have machines at the entrance where you can retreive or purchase tickets by inserting your credit card.
