Booking through Orbitz - 15% off

We currently have a room only reservation through Disney for a stay at Pop Century. With the current Orbitz offer of an additional 15%, we can upgrade to Port Orleans Riverside for only $100 more. Since we will be spending a several hours at our resort on arrival and departure day, we thought a mod might be a nice upgrade. I have only ever booked through Disney so I was wondering how the hotel stay will link to MDE if I go with the Orbitz deal? Will I get a reservation number from Orbitz I can put into MDE? Then who would I call to setup magical express? Thanks everyone!

I have done this multiple times. It's very easy! After you book with Orbitz, you will get a hotel confirmation number, NOT ORBITZ booking number. You enter this number into MDE and you are set up! have fun!

Well you still have to book ME though. They provide a link on your confirmation page IIRC. You just enter your name, address, flight info, res info etc. You will get an email confirmation from ME. If you can't find the link, post back. I keep it in my favorites.
Also when you customize your magic bands it always asks you to confirm your address. When you book through Orbitz, it's a Chicago address that pops up by default. Be sure to enter your correct info.

Once you do it, you'll see how easy it is. The only pain is having to add kids separately.

We did similar earlier in the week... called Orbitz to have the kids added (free by the call but about $40 by adding them through the sight). It did take about 15 minutes as the Orbitz rep had to call Disney to have them added. I had already linked the reservation to my account online and the kids showed up without anything extra for me to do (I kept switching dates so wanted to wait until we were certain before calling). After that, I called Disney to give them our flight information and booked the magical express. All in all, it saved us about $300 but took about 20 minutes.

OH!! I did need to update our address for everything, something you should do before you call Disney (it's faster for me to type my own address than tell someone)... you can still customize your magic bands and such. Which they will likely change a dozen or so times before they ship.
