We're going on our honeymoon in April and I'm now having an absolute panic about the dollar. I'm transferring money into a US account every pay, but I'm still just sick over how bad it is. Anyone have opinions on just booking a room through expedia.ca so that it's in Canadian dollars? We're currently booked through disney and I don't want to vomit when I have to pay the balance when we get there...

I booked our upcoming trip thru Expedia.ca for that very reason! The exchange PLUS the foreign transaction fee credit card would charge EEEK I snagged a deal that includes RT airfare from Pearson and a full week at the Dolphin for $2001.13 (yes i did just look at the receipt :P ) I also "sling-shot" my way there thru the Airmiles shop site so I earned extra points as well. This way we knew exactly how much it was going to cost and it was super easy to do. Lots of deals you can find on-line for a discount as well, just google "coupon codes expedia.ca"

Have a wonderful honeymoon

i use Expedia a lot, and have no problems recommending it.

If you are only booking a room, I would book a refundable one so that a) you're locking in a price, and b) you can cancel the room if you find something you like better, at an acceptable price.

That said, their room/car packages are very reasonable, and worth looking into.

I've used expedia several times and it's in cdn currency if you go to the .ca site. Make sure you print off your confirmations as they switched my travel time because the airline changed their times and expedia didn't rebook our tickets! Luckily the plane still had a few seats left and we were able to prove that we paid through expedia.

Another regular Expedia user. Only surprise I can think of was in Vegas where they have these "resort fees". Don't think they are included.

I haven't used expedia for Disney, but have booked many other flights/trips through them. Never had an issue and yes at time paying in Canadian funds in crucial!
