Booking through Disney with AAA rate

Years ago, I booked a room through Disney for WL with a AAA rate. I know I booked it months in advance, because it was a December reservation that we ended up canceling when we bought DVC in February. Now I need to add a cash night onto the front of our DVC stay in October, and I called to find out if there was a AAA rate available. The CM told me there were no discounts out for October yet, including AAA rates at any hotel, and no such thing as a AAA rate for the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA (which may be true, but isn't what the CM told me when I booked one of those rooms for one night last year). Anyone know if that's accurate? I'm wondering if it's worth calling back and asking a different CM.

I just checked through the AAA website and there are discounts listed for Oct. I put in Fri, Oct 11 for 2 adults and 2 children and Disney shows a price of $155 for the Little Mermaid Standard and AAA is showing $138. I would call back with the information in hand for the date you want. We already have our villa at the BC booked for Jan. with a AAA discount for marathon weekend.

We booked POR RO with a AAA discount LAST AUGUST for our stay in October - later rebooked as a AAA package to save a bit more. They are limited by resort and room category, but they are technically AVAILABLE for Oct 2013. I would try again.

Thanks. Our local AAA website doesn't show Disney room rates, for some reason. I'll call back.

I ended up booking the RO AAA directly with Disney, the package online through AAA which connected me to a TA in MI (we're in MN). She's been great. Good luck!

I'm going Dec 7-14, staying at Saratoga Springs, we booked March 13th and used the CAA discount, which is the same as AAA.

My AAA website doesn't show room only rates either and you have to email to ask for a quote for a package. About 3 weeks ago, I called Disney directly and asked if there was a AAA discount for room only in November. She said there was nothing showing past August. It seems that other people are getting a AAA room only discount past August though. Should I call back and ask again???

Yes! I called back last night and got a wonderful, very helpful CM who looked again for me. There weren't AAA rates available for the October date we needed for AoA, but there was a AAA rate for Pop Century. It was about a $20 savings per night.

I booked my December 2013 trip this past January. At the time of booking, I would have gotten a AAA rate on the room only part of the package we booked. The price quoted from AAA for Pop was less than what the Disney site had told me earlier that day. However, there is NO discount on the AoA Little Mermaid rooms. Apparently they're not included in any type of discount at all.

I called last week to do the same thing as you, only for December. The CM told me, at this point, the only discount was AAA, and I could check for others closer to my vacation. glad to hear you got someone else to help you.

Thank you so much for the information. I called today and was able to get a better room at WL for less money!! I guess it definitely does pay to call back. I am still hoping that a better discount will come out since we are not going until November, but every little bit helps. Thanks again!!
