Booking through a DVC member

Hello all,

Im 3 weeks out, due into WDW May 2nd. We booked through a DVC member, friend from work. Own lots of timeshares and has sold points to many co-workers before. I have bene in contact with him, he received the confirmation number but never gave us a copy. Since then he has added our name to the reservation and we have received the Magical Express booklet to our address. However, I will need the confirmatin number when check in online 10 days before we arrive wont I? Do I really need to request a copy of the confirmation number. Last time I spoke with him he said so long as we got our Magical express we are all set. I do trust him, but Im a detail and control fanatic and not having the confirmation number is erking me a bit. What do you all think??

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but only the DVC member can log on to the member website for the DVC online check in.
I am unsure if you can do a DVC reservation check in from the WDW website...never tried.

All you really need to show is a picture ID. At check in not one CM has ever asked me for my confirmation number, they want the pictureID. If you would feel better with the confirmation number, ask for it.

Well for the online check in (done 10 days prior) I would need a confirmation number. I just dont want to get there and have nothing....

Take a look at your DME packet. Your confirmation number is probably on your paperwork and possibly also on the yellow tags. (If I hadn't already tossed mine from my last trip I could check it and tell you for sure whether or not the DVC reservation info is listed.)

Then go to www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc and enter the reservation number and the other information it ask for (last name, resort and check in date) and see if your reservation comes up.


Edited to add: I did find my DME paperwork from my January trip. There are two long numbers on the yellow tags and the DO NOT match my reservation confirmation number. However, I plugged in the first of the two numbers (the one right below the date) into the web page mentioned above along with the resort name, check in date and last name of the primary guest and my reservation came up!

Anyone can do online check-in, Daddio has a link on his website. I keep bookmarking it but it doesn't hold so I go to his page.

I'm confused by your last comment - what kind of info are you looking for? Kidani vs. Jambo? Because if you have a reservation #, you're already booked into one or the other.

I'm sure anyone here could tell you what you need to know, or point you somewhere to find it.
