Booking The Beak & Barrel Aug. 20th at 7pm EST!!

It sounds like that will be the case - they specifically note not to refresh the page - so once you see that screen, you're in the queue and then just wait to see if you get in and score a res. The only reason to refresh is if you get the error screens or the 'nothing available' screen. Hope it works...I'm keeping expectations low just in case.

Me too, honestly. I know I know, Disney is for kids... but also, we make the money and we are DINKs... so let us spend it there. I think one 'break room' in every park would be fantastic.

As a fellow DINK... I'll never forget the time we strolled into MNSSHP, looked around for awhile trying to find a cart where we could buy a beer, and then found out that MK was the one WDW park that doesn't allow that. This isn't quite that (yet) but at least it offers an option.

Just sort of sucks that the new best way to have a drink in MK is to win a lotto on a Disney IT system.

This next trip when I'm trying to score this res for, I'll be in a party of 2 - one SINK and one RINK (not sure if those are official terms, but going with the DINK theme, I'm 'single income no kids' and my friend is 'retired income no kids'), The serving of alcohol and over 21 type settings for me aren't for the purposes of doing shots and roaming around drunk (which I agree I've generally only seen at Epcot, typically for F&W or for the Drink-around-the-world' challenge folks). As mentioned above, it's for the 'break' from the kid scene - I'm at Disney every 3 months or so just as a getaway from work and home chores - decompression-style. Sometimes solo, sometimes with friends, sometimes with family, but always adults and generally not about Lightning lanes and rushing from ride to ride - we enjoy the restaurant selections, boating around to resorts, a few rides mixed in, some nice bars or lounges to hang and relax, good music by live bands and such. MK has been the one spot where that option has been missing, so I am looking forward to having that spot for a tropical cocktail and a little pirate theme and show/interaction. I hope as time goes on, it won't require all these hoops to get a spot - just a normal ADR.

We are a party of 2. Would you think it would be best to try for a reservation for 3 (and then modify it) or try for 2 people? I know they often don't have too many tables for 2. I don't want to waste time changing my party size.

I was following this thread last week and kept refreshing the page to see if times loaded until they said not today. I am going to try for a time before our MNSSHP starts as we will already be in the park. Have my calendar reminder set.

I had wondered this as well…..

I feel like this is probably stupid question, but it's been a long day so bear with me. Is there a specific page that will take us to the VQ? Like is it off the main Beak and Barrel page, the dining reservation page, the Beak and Barrel reservation lookup page? I feel like I'm overcomplicating this :rotfl2:

I was just thinking the same thing lol

I was going to just start refreshing 15?? Mins before 4pm (I’m west coast!) and hope the waiting room pops up? On my phone browser and on Firefox on the laptop

This is nuts, now we are refreshing multiple places while we try to figure out where the link to the waiting room/VQ will be. :badpc:. I have to head to my kids 16th birthday dinner - so much for a quick under-the-table booking.

And on multiple devices too...just in case it prefers cell phones over laptops :rotfl:
