Booking SW Airlines - Should I book DH's Fare Separate

DH & I will be going to Disney in December :cool1:. We frequently get caught up in last-minute business during the holidays. Sooo, in order to capitalize on Southwest's rescheduling policy I will be booking our departure separate from our return. DH is more likely to get caught up in business than I am. I, most likely, will leave when scheduled and just reschedule him, that way I could get the car, shop, unpack etc. Then I would just pick him up when he arrives the next day or so.

My question is - In order to create scheduling flexibility do I book our departures individually? Or could I just book them together and still reschedule only him? In other words, do I have to reschedule the entire booking party?

TIA

Seems easier to make a change if you are on separate itineraries. Keep in mind that if you change his ticket, you will have to pay any additional costs for the new flight, which there will probably be in December during the holidays, if any tickets are even available.

Book separtely. It will be alot easier to correct/fix to what you need when the time comes.
