Spoke to a lady at Southwest.

Booking as a group for 10 people.
We do not get boarding passes until we are at the ticket counter.

What does that do for checking luggage with Magical Express?

any way I can call and ask that question?

You don't need boarding passes. For ME, you need to attach the luggage tags they send you a few weeks before the trip, along with the ME boarding pass (separate from your air ticket, which is where I think you may have gotten confused). If you don't get them, or attach them, take you bag claim check and give it to the ME counter when you check in there ( in Orlando).

This is only true for the way TO Orlando. When you're in-bound, just attach the yellow tags DME sends you. When you get to the airport and get your boarding passes at the counter they'll add the tag that the airport generates at that point and send your bag on its merry way.

OP, If you're referring to the way home, and you will not be able to get your boarding passes for your departing (from Florida) flight until you arrive at MCO, you will not be able to use Resort Airline Check-in (RAC). RAC is a service run by Bags, inc that allows passengers on participating airlines to effectively do curbside check in at their hotel. It's got nothing to do with you being able to use DME back to the airport. You need a boarding pass to do use RAC.

If your flight is later and you were planing to hit the pool or parks after check out you can have your luggage held at bell services, and then pick it up and take it on the bus with you to MCO. Just leave enough time to get it from bell services and be at your pick up spot about 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up.

It is regarding the flight coming home from disney.

We are hoping for a 2:00pm flight with the morning being spent at Ohana.

I did not want to deal with the luggage--- we will have 2 babies 5 months and 7 months old. 1 - 2 year old 8,11 and 12

So we will not be able to use the service if we can not check in for the flight
we can still take the bus but have to deal with our luggage til we get there

You can use DME but you will not be able to check your bags in using RAC without boarding passes. I believe if you're booked as a group you should get a paper ticket - I'm not sure if that will work in place of a boarding pass with the RAC counter - maybe someone who's traveled that way can comment on that part and confirm if that will work, thereby allowing you to use the service.
