hi, we are booking our british airways flight through expedia as we are getting a good deal, will we be able to book our seats through the british airways site and also do the online checkin or do you have to book direct to be able to use the site, thanks for any advice susie

If you log into your 'my destinations' (itinerary number and a link should be on the conformation email)
you should have a booking code for the airline thats different from your expedia booking code which allows you to log into the airlines website.

it works with virgin this way, ba might be different, if youre having a problem give expedia a call, they have always been really nice when ive had a problem (read- was being a neurotic worry wort ;) )

Just remember that to book seats in advance with BA you will have to pay £20 per seat per way. I am sure you can call BA after you book to book your seats, you would have to do this anyway if you didn't take this option at the time of booking.

For online check-in, you just need your reservation number. I am sure Expedia can give you this, but if not just call BA customer service :goodvibes

I think you can book seats with BA, but did they not put a charge on now for seat bookings.

We went with BA in Nov 2008 through expedia and we were able to book our seats on the BA website, there was no charge then

same here we booked through netflights and managed to do the online check in etc, only thing was we could not upgrade as we had booked through a third party. So we missed the cheap business class upgrade deal they were offering.
