Booking ?s for child in separate room

We will be cruising with a large family group. It was less expensive to book my dd7 in a room with my single brother (double occupancy rate formalities), and then me, dh, and dd4 are booked into an adjoining room. Everyone in the 2 rooms has silver status. Here’s my questions:
1) technical end: will I be able to book her ticketed events/excursions online?
2) permission end: will Disney allow her to have booked a tickets event /excursion that’s different from the grown-up in her room? In other words, can me, dh and my 2 dds book excursion x and my brother books excursion y (or must the adult booked in the same room go on the same excursion as the child?)? Tia!

1) Yes! My parents are in a different stateroom. We booked separately, but linked our reservations. I am able to book excursions for them (and I did), I even booked them for different excursions than my own family.
2) I just tried this. I was able to book my DS4 (from my room) on an excursion with my parents (in a different stateroom). The system won't allow you to book just a minor on their own, must also an adult going.
Additionally, there will be some forms online when you do check-in that cover a few things. There's a form granting other adults permission to check-in/out your dds in kids club, or taking them on and off the ship.

There used some rules specific for Shutters, specially if you are considering a length of cruise photo package.

Say if you add the package on your stateroom, one of the members of your stateroom must be in the picture. So no problems for full family pictures, but pictures of your daughter alone or of your brother may not get into the package. They also would let you buy a second package for the second stateroom for a discount.

Also, be aware that you may be assigned to a different muster station...

Oh yes! Shutters! They will "waiver" the second daughter into the main room's photo package. Just stop at the desk to take care of this. And yes, the brother would not be included. Just immediate family, children who are minors)

And yes about the muster station! Uncle will have to be responsible for DD for the muster drill. Has anyone in this situation had child switched to the parents' muster station?

Oh wow thanks for all the replies and of course the things I didn’t think of!! Shutters was fun (read my sarcasm) our last trip with 4 staterooms. Good to know about her being able to be added in if I speak with them. Dd adores her uncle and will be 7 at sailing (and she vividly remembers the last cruise) so I think the muster station drill should be okay. I’ll do some practice with her just in case though!!

It's now part of the online check-in process. You will need to ensure your brother grants you the right to take your child off the ship and pick her up from the kids club. It's very simple, but you definitely want to be sure the right boxes are checked.
