Booking Ride/Light Lanes for us and another party that is linked?

The last time we went it was during Genie+. This looks basically the same for the most part. We're staying on-site at the Swan, so we'll be able to book 7 days out. What time does that usually come live?

My next questions is we have friends that are going with us this trip and we are assisting them with all aspects of planning, so that morning we can reserve is going to be nuts as we have to book for them and us. Here is how I have it setup so far.

US - We have our own MDE account with SWAN linked and our 4 profiles ready to go.

FRIENDS - WE have their own MDE account with SWAN linked and their 4 profiles setup. We do have this account linked to our MDE, so I can see all both parties for purposes of reserving.

My main question is in regards to buying the lightning lane that morning as I'm assuming I'll have to do it on both accounts separately or will I be able to buy passes for all 8 people from my MDE app? I assume it'll bill just 1 of us?

Your booking window opens 7 days before your first resort day at 7 AM EDT. As a reminder to find the magic 7 day date. If you arrive at the Swan on a Sunday, your 7 day window starts exactly 1 week before also on a Sunday.

You are able to make LLMP and/or LLSP selections from your MDE account. If you can see the entire travel party in your list which should show all 8 guests if you are both linked in Family & Friends and sharing plans.

Yes it will bill the account of the MDE account making the purchases. Depending on how many days your are making LLMP and/ LLSP purchases for you might want to consider having your 2 MDE accounts split the days and each of you book for all 8 on a day by day basis.

Do you plan to tour the parks as a group of 8?

Yes, I can see all 8. Thanks that helps. I assume they'll want to stick with us during the parks for riding purposes.

It really does not matter after you purchase your LLMP with up to 3 attractions. After that you are able to modify for the entire group, a sub-set or even 1 memeber of your travel party.

@rlu929s - I have a similar question, so I hope that you do not mind my jumping in so that there is not a duplicate thread on this subject.

My husband and I are also traveling with another couple. While this couple was able to link us to their account, I have been unable to link them to my MDE. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Could someone explain how to succeed? The reason I need to have them linked is that I will be the person making the LLMP and LLSP reservations. Even though they are Disney Annual pass holders, I have more experience with booking rides on the app. The other couple goes so often that they will ride one or two rides, hop to another park and do the same. Then they spend to rest of the day at leisure. DH and I have not been in two years, and may not go a back again, so we want to make the best out of our days.

Thank you to @Dave006 for suggesting a split charge. That was one of my questions. I was trying to figure out how to have them pay us back for the passes, but maybe I will put them in charge of purchasing the 3 different LLSP's that we need X 4 persons , and I'll do the 3 LLMP days that we will need X 4 persons. They can buy us dinner for the difference.

So here are my other questions:

When purchasing the LLMP, and the app suggest the ride/availability/times, do they place the suggestions in order of where the rides are located in the parks so that we are not zig zagging across the park from one ride to another? Hope I am making myself clear.

Also, we have some lunch and dinner reservations. From a video that I watched online, it appears that the app will take into account our meal reservations so that we do not have to choose meal time or the ride. Is this true? When last at EPCOT, we had a virtual queue reservation for GoG at 8:00pm. While having a nice dinner around 6:20pm, I received notice that our VQ time had been moved up to 6:30pm - 7:30pm. There was no way that we were going to make it in time, so our party of 5 lost out on riding GoG. We don't want to have that happen again, especially since we have to pay to ride this time.

How did you try to link them to your Family & Friends list?

I find it easier to add guests using the MDE Family & Friends via the web interface to MDE. Open this link and Click the Add a Guest button. (After you Sign in to MDE on the web). Just confirm that you know their correct email address and an email will be generated and sent to them to "Accept". Once they complete this step they should show up in your Family & Friends list on the web and on your MDE app.

No that would be really Magical but no it does not optimize for attraction locations within a park. That is going to be a Future possible feature for the AI version of MDE but no it has not even been announced.

Yes, as you make your LLMP selections the MDE system will take in to consideration your Exiting Plans (ADR times, and other Activities that you have listed in your Today and Future plans). The default is to allow a 60 minute or more gap. Many guests find it maddening when MDE is not allowing overlaps that guests really want. The tool always want to add LLMP selections after the previous ones selected. Think of it as a list, you pick 1 time and accept your first attraction, the tool will not allow you to add your 2nd pick at a time before your 1 time.

You will still be required to accept the earliest time returned by the LLMP and/or LLSP search or "Modify" your time for the Attraction.

Does that make any sense?

Dave

Thanks! Very helpful for making the LLMP and LLSP. Now to study the maps and layouts of attractions. UGH!!!

I cannot remember how we tried to link, but pretty sure it was the way you have instructed. I will try again.
