I am currently making a day-by-day reservation (7 months out) for BCV. I've finished days 1 & 2 so far. Last month I asked this same question, as I had never done day-by-day either. Several DIS-ers replied and the reply from LisaS, a true veteran, is the one I went with. She said when calling MS on your first reservation day, let the CM know that you are starting a day-by-day ressie. They will ask you for your check in date and the check out day of your final reservation (in my case 5/4 to 5/9). Then each day that you call to add a day, they will extended your original reservation by 1 day. So today when I called, my one day ressie (5/4) became a two day ressie (5/4 & 5/5). It will have only 1 reservation # and I will receive 1 confirmation statement in the mail following the completion of my entire ressie. There is no need to "link" the reservations together, as it has always remained under 1 ressie, just getting longer each day MS is called.
