Booking resort for extra days to get it available.

I know that resorts are available in blocks so you might not see it available but if u add a day or to it might show up. I know years ago I did this and was able to just cancel the extra days & keep our selected resort. We are wanting to take a last minute trip end of this month but the resort is not available we always stay at. If I add several days on it shows up. Is it still possible to book then cancel the extra days to get that particular resort?

They've been trying really hard to eliminate orphan rooms. You'll have to call in and more than likely ask for a manager to approve it.
