I'm seriously looking into buying DVC. I ussally go to WDW at least twice a year. My only problem is where I work I bid shifts and Vacation every six months. So the earliest I can plan for a trip is about 5 months in advance. Will I have problems trying to book rooms at DVC resorts with only 5 months notice or less?

It depends on which resort and what time of year as well as what size unit you plan to reserve. The first two weeks of December, most of October and the holiday periods will be difficult. Studios might be harder than some other accommodations, and BCV and VWL will be more difficult because of their small size.

I go in either November or January then again in April or May avoiding spring break times. I'm also flexible as to where I stay and unit size.

You shouldn't have a problem.

You should be pretty safe with those times, and will probably have a pick of any of the resorts.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I will be buying DVC this Fall. Yeah I need a use month of Oct, Nov or Dec to work with my 6 month bids.
