Booking Questions????

I have a few questions....I'm a brand new to DVC, haven't even finished my paperwork yet. My home is the BWV. My wife, is that a DW?, and I want to bring some friends down this march....I called for availability and found nothing in a 2 bedroom in BWV, VWL, or BCV. So I went on a wait list. Apparently the 7 night stay we requested has a few holes in it...exp we want March 7 thru the 14th. I believe 7,8, 9, 13 ok but missing night 10, 11, and 12. How does the wait list work for this? Does MS wait for a full 7 days to open or did they block off the open rooms and wait list me for missing nights.
Do I have to request how I want it handled? Also since my use year is August and we just bought in Monday, that gives me to January 31st to bank the points and withdraw our request. Do you think being new and so close to my banking date that MS would give me some extra time before I had to bank 100%.

You can request how you want the waitlist to work. Did you book the nights that were available? I would call and see ask about the banking question.

I just told MS that I was looking for that week and put me on the list....I did not book any days. But I will need to pull out by Jan 31st...
