We are planning an end of August through early September 2006 WDW trip. Currently, we are looking to stay at our "home resort" (SSR) and booking at the 11 month mark.

Let's say, after we booked our reservation, we wanted to choose another resort instead. Does MS allow us to move the reservation at the 9 month mark?

ALSO, is the 11 month mark from the BEGINNING of the reservation or the END?

Yes, you can try to move from one resort to another at the SEVEN (not 9) month mark.

The windows are measured from your checkout date. For particularly busy times of year, you can call and book day-by day. In other words, if you wanted to stay 8/20 to 8/22, you could actually call on 9/21 and book the first night of the stay. Then you would call daily to add on additional days.

You won't need to do this when booking at SSR in August / September, and I wouldn't recommend doing it to try and move to another resort. You could end up not being able to get all of your days at the alternate resort.

You can use your SSR points at other resorts at the 7 month mark. If you were going to book day by day and your vacation will start Sept. 20th 2006, you can book the first day February 21st, 2006. (Assuming it's not a weekend day, I don't have an '06 calendar handy.)

Yes MS will let you change your ressie. Just make sure when you call MS that what you want is available, before you cancel your exsisting ressie.
The 11 month/7month is from the last day.
:hourglass <30 days till we go "Home" to OKW
