Booking Question

Hello!
So I'm pretty excited to book for the Adventure but all my past sailings on DCL have been with a significant other. I'm single now with no regular travel buddy, so I'm needing to make the reservation solo.

My issue is that I'll be booking for 2026 sailing and between now and then, I will have moved to Japan and been there nearly a year. Lots can change with friends plans or even maybe a new significant other (lol not planning on it though).
Money is still a factor though. If I book for a single person, it will be cheaper than booking for 2 by a couple hundred dollars. But if I wanted to add a second person, the rate would change to whatever the rate is at the time of change, right?
The cruise I'm looking at is over a holiday so there's even a chance of it being sold out.

So, in my situation, what would you do and why?
Reserve for 1 or take a gamble that someone will go with me and book for 2?

Thanks! :flower3:

If there is a chance you may have a companion for the he cruise then I would book for 2. The extra deposit on “a couple hundred” is only $40 or so. You can always drop the 2nd passenger before PIF without penalty (unless concierge).

Thanks! I was referring to the couple hundred dollars as a total price, not the deposit.

I would also still go ahead and book for two, as long as it is not a hardship to do so. The odds of saving money is there, and I agree a lot can change in a couple years. I went from barely knowing to living with my then boyfriend (and now husband of 13 years) in less time. :cloud9:
