Booking question

How far out can you book at your home resort? In order to book earlier, can you book as if not DVC (500 days out I think?) and then switch to points? What's the best way to do this? We want Christmas 2011 if possible.

You can book 11 months out at your home resort and 7 months out at other dvc resorts.

Booking via Disney is totally different and a Disney reservation can not be converted to a points stay. That is different inventory.

So, as PP mentioned, it is 11 months out at your home resort and 7 months at all others.

Just to clarify, at 11 months from check in you can book your home resort using home resort points. That last bit is the critical part. At 7 months from check in you can book any resort using any points subject to availability.
