Booking question

Hi everyone! Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before I'd like to book a resort now for a trip in Sept 2007. However; if the free dining package is offered again next year, will I have to cancel our ressies and re-book to take advantage of it? Or could the amount I've already paid toward room only ressies be transfered to dining pkg ressies? Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance

I think you would be safe to do this. If you are booking room only then you don't have to pay balance until check in so you don't really have a huge cancel penalty (I think you can cancel within 5 days). Pretty sure your applied money will just transfer over to a package with the (Hopeful) code next year. You can always upgrade to a package, but it is harder to go backwards. So I would say you are safe booking a room only and paying on it.

Any reason why you want to do this now and not wait until closer next year? September isn't exactly the busiest time, hence why they give free dining. Don't think you will have a problem getting the resort of your choice. IF it is for paying down the balance, that I can understand. And then when you get closer and you have already paid off most of the room, it will be easier to justify uprgrading your resort! (OH maybe this is my little plan I keep from the DH! )

It will transfer with no problem. You'll even keep the same reservation number. I just did this for my upcoming September trip.
