I need to book a studio for October 20-26, 2018 for me and my teen daughters. We own at AKV and we love it there, but we'd like to try something new, if possible. I will have 55 banked points available and have 100 current points, but I need to bank at least 67 of them for a planned, extended-family vacation for 2019. This is important to keep in mind....
Here's my plan of attack...
November 20: Book October 20-23, 2018 in a standard studio at AKV-Jambo (38 points)
November 23: Book October 23-26, 2018 in a standard studio at AKV-Jambo (36 points)
March 20: Book October 20-23 in either a studio at BCV or a P/G studio at BWV (whichever may be available) or waitlist BCV, since we haven't stayed at that one before (46 points).
I will have enough available points to book the new one without cancelling the old one first
==> If either of these is available, I will cancel the AKV reservation for the corresponding nights.
March 23: Book October 23-25 in either a studio at BRV or CCV (whichever may be available), or waitlist BRV since that is preferred. Then, *IF* I can get these *2* nights online at 8am, I will call back at 9am to buy 3 OTU points and book the night of the 25th. Then I will cancel the AKV reservation.
Overall, I am not holding out any hope for any studio outside of AKV, especially for the first half of our stay since we arrive on a Saturday during F&W. We'd really like to try BCV or BRV since they are the same number of points, we've never stayed at either of them and they both have the extra bed, meaning none of us would have to share a sleeping space. I know our odds are slim but I figured by splitting our stay into 3-night segments, we might have a slightly better chance. If we get stuck at AKV for 6 nights, we'd be perfectly happy

Do I have this right? If I end up having to waitlist, I will just suck it up and use the 3 points. Next year, I will be able to borrow the 3 from 2020...no big deal...I just hate borrowing
