Booking question: if free dining is offered after i book

If i book a trip and then free dining is offered during the time i set my trip up for, can i change to free dining? I don't want to jump the gun but that is one of the reasons we would like to go back because it worked out so well for us...but i do want to start paying on it sooner than we did last year.

I believe you can book and then change to whatever promotion is offered. That's what we did and are keeping our fingers crossed for free dining. Good luck.

You can call Disney and modify your existing reservation PROVIDING the promotion fits your trip.

Only so many rooms are reserved per resort for FD and it is up to the management of each resort to designate those number of rooms.

Keeping that in mind, you may want to consider being flexible enough to accept the possibility of changing your resort.

Also, if your trip starts before FD ends, you will get FD for your whole trip, even if the promo dates expire.

As the others have said, it depends on if the resort has room available for the promo since not all rooms in the resort are available. Also, for some of the last promos the rules have changed. For the discount on the deluxe resorts/villas that is out there now, even if your trip start before the end date and extends past the 8/13 date, the discount is only up till the 13th. We priced out different deluxes and they showed the room rate for each day as as soon as the rate came up for the 14th it was back to full price. So not sure if they offer free dining what they will be giving - the whole trip past the promo end date or just up to that point.
