Booking Question. Did I make a mistake?

I'm so excited we just booked at the Poly. But I think my excitement might have gotten the most me . I was just planning on booking the room and wait for discounts, then book the tixs and dinning. But in the process of booking I also booked the tixs (but not the dining ). So as of right now I have the room and tixs booked for late next summer. Did I make a mistake for booking both the room and tixs now? With this disqualify me from applying discounts in the future? Or does it really matter, if so what do you suggest. Thank you for your time and help.

This is fine. Don't worry about it. If a discount comes out in the future then you will be able to apply it to this reservation as long as there is availability for your dates.

Only problem is that the more people who book early at rack rates, the less incentive Disney has to offer any room discounts.

Most of the time that has worked out for us but not this year. The CM on the phone even said he would apply the AP rate when released. I took it with a grain of salt and questioned him but he insisted. Well, AP rates were released very sparingly and they could not apply it to my room at the Wilderness Lodge. Oh well. I was prepared and I am glad I secured a room when I did as now the WL is full for our dates, but was hopeful since I have never before not had it work out. Turns out there wasn't much availability of getting that AP rate at any of the MK resorts.
