Booking "preferred" room at Coronado- is it in Casitas?

We are considering staying here for a last minute trip and need to know if we book the "preferred room", is it guaranteed n the Casitas section? Not being in this section would be a deal breaker for us as we want to be close to the main lobby and also want a guaranteed refurbed room. ANy other tips are welcome! Thanks!!

Thank you for answering so quickly!! I just wanted to know what "preferred" meant. Location? FLoor? View? Is the Casitas section ONLY preferred rooms or a mix? What makes Casitas area preferred? is it the location or is it more? Also, how far is the walk to the dig pool from this area? Sorry for all the questions! And thanks again!!

Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred....considered preferred, I would think, because of proximity to el centro. Can also put you close to bus stop 2- first CSR pick up for buses heading to parks. We stayed in Casitas 2 in April- loved it. It is a bit of a walk to the dig site, but not unpleasant. You can find a somewhat current map of CSR at www.touringplans.com (Casitas 4 and 5 are not preferred)

All preferred rooms at WDW are classified as such due to location only.

Is the Casitas section ONLY preferred rooms or a mix?

There's preferred, preferred water view and preferred king rooms in buildings 1, 2, and 3. Buildings 4 and 5 have standard, king and water view.

What makes Casitas area preferred? is it the location or is it more?

Just location.
