Booking part of the week at 11months and part at 7 months

Only have enough HH points to book Sun-Thurs at 11 months.

Am I able to book the Thurs and Fri with my BWV points 7 months from my check in day if Sunday, or do I have to wait until 7 months from Thursday?

What if I added the first Saturday night, can I book Sat and then the following Thursday and Friday at once?

For HHI, it is best to book Sun-Thur nights at 11 months and try to add on weekend nights (Fri and Sat) at 7 months as those don't book as fast due to higher point cost.

What room type and dates are looking to book? A 3BR GV is toughest to get as is June and July dates...and Aug as well but we just did a trip there last week and I booked a 2BR at 11 months out but watched availability and there was stuff available at 7 months.

I would have done Sun-Thurs nights, but I only had enough point for Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed nights. I think I'll switch my booking now to Mon-Fri and book Sun at 7 months. It's July in a 2 bedroom

I would leave it as it is. A lot of people check-in on Sunday.

Well, one of the things you can do is check to see if the first two nights--Sunday and Monday are available at the 7 month window. If they are, book with your BLT points.

At 9:00 am, call MS and ask them to adjust your reservation that was made with HH points to drop the first two nights--the ones you just booked with BLT points--and add the last two using your HH points.

This will only work if HH has availability for those first two nights at 7 months.. If those are gone, you won't be allowed to swap points and will have to wait till Thursday.

Another option might be to reserve the last 2 nights you want with a cash reservation (which may not be available at 11 months, but is certainly worth a try). I would expect that the Friday night you want would be available for a cash reservation sometimes with the 25% Member discount. You can then hopefully make the reservations for those last 2 nights at 7 months and cancel the cash nights.

If you are not already using points borrowed from your next Use Year, you should also consider borrowing to make the complete reservation at 11 months. If the Thurs/Fri nights are still available at 7 months, you can cancel nights reserved using the current points (not the borrowed) and bank them into your next Use Year. When doing this, I would explain to the MS rep what you are wanting to do so they will use the borrowed points for dates earlier in the stay which will allow you to cancel the Thurs/Fri, reserve using the non-Home points and then link everything together for you. (It's a lot easier than it sounds! )
