I know that you can try to get Palo reservations onboard if nothing is available for prebooking and they usually have some central location you go to do that. What time does that usually start? Other than that, I don't feel the need to be on the ship early, so I'm wondering what PAT I should aim for to make sure I am there right when they open.

Thanks!

If I recall correctly, Dining Reservations/Changes normally start around 12:30. The exact time and location can vary but will be listed in the first day navigator you should receive in the terminal.

It was from 12:30-3 on our last cruise in April. They did it in Animator's for our cruise. We were able to book no problem on our cruise. We could have also called Palo from 3-5 that day as well and left a message to see if they had an opening. If you really want it, I would suggest planning on going and waiting online to get it. We had to confirm our dinner seating as well and the entire process took about 20 minutes at the most.

Thanks!!! We really really want to eat dinner there for our 25th anniversary, so I am determined.

Check previous navigators to have a good sense of timing and location. The line for Palo, Remy (when on the Dream class ships) and dining changes has been in one location on my cruises...and one of the longest waits on embarkation day. However, I have always been successful in getting what I wanted. Be patient. I recommend leaving one person in line and other(s) head to the nearest bar for the drink of the day (if so inclined) and bring the drinks back for waiting. Many folks envied us with our delicious beverages.

The dining location room was in Animator Palate the last cruise and it opened at 1:30 PM. The line can get pretty long because that is also where main dining room changes are requested, so typically the CM will be asking folks in line what they are waiting for and go from there.

The Palo manager is there with laptop and schedule and the Remy manager is at another table with their laptop as well. Then the MDR manager is handling dining changes at another location within the restaurant. It is a very easy and streamlined process.

My advice is to keep checking before embarkation day from 5 to 3 days before sailing. Many people change their plans as the access date gets nearer to closing AND there seem to be times added as well. The last ditch effort is on embarkation day if you cannot snag one prior to that. How long of a cruise is this?
