Booking (or Waitlist) From Two Contracts Question

If I wanted to BOOK ONLINE for a resort night (say at 5 months out) using points from two non-home resorts in my same Membership can I do that online?

Here is the example, the one night points required are 30 points for AKL and I have 15 points in my VGF and 15 points in my BWV contracts available in that Use Year (both under my same Membership number, but obviously, different Contracts) ... can I BOOK that ONLINE (OR WAITLIST for it) without needing to call Customer Service?

P.S. I would do a "practice" booking like this to check, but was concerned it might permanently transfer my points into one of the two Contracts...

I believe you can do that online. The booking tool will tell you how many points you need, and you should be able to check the two contracts you want to use and tell it to pull the specific number from each.

PS doing a practice booking wouldn’t transfer any points. If you back out of the process or if you book the reservation and then cancel it immediately, the points will go right back to their respective contracts, assuming you’re not at 30 days or less from checkin.

If I understand your situation and question correctly, you have in your example 15 points VGF and 15 points BWV. If those contracts are the same UY and under one membership, there would be no 'transferring' of points. At 7 months, you can combine those 30 points to make a reservation at any of the DVC resorts (unless they're resale, then Riviera is out). You absolutely can book online (if my assumptions are correct here). You would identify which contract(s) to pull the points from for the reservation. And you could also do a practice run, since nothing needs to be transferred. You don't commit the points until you finalize the reservation.

Simple check both contracts and it will use alll the ones from the first and then take the other ones.
