First of all, these boards are wonderful. I have searched and
researched all the info for all of our trips to WDW. My question today is, how do you book online for an airline. I will be going down to WDW in a couple of months and have found an airline that is offering a good rate and I want to book it now from their website. Will I get something in the snail mail from them in addition to the confirmation info that I need to print out. I have never done this and reading what other say, it seems to be pretty easy. Can someone help me out?

Thanks

Just go to the airline website..................

1.book your flights
2.select your seats
3.put it on credit card
4.print your confirmation(e-ticket)
5.take your e-ticket with you on day of your flight

You will not get anything else via snail mail, etc. It seems complicated but once you do it over the net............you will always book your own flights.;)

It is very easy. Just be sure to print the confirmation page at the end of the transaction. The beauty of etickets is that all you have to do when you get to the airport is give them your name and ID and they can pull up your ticket.

No worries about losing your paper ticket. I had to get paper tickets for an upcoming flight and don't like them at all any more.

Once you book online you will never go back to the old way. :)

>>> Just be sure to print the confirmation page at the end of the transaction.

Very important. It is not a good idea to do any transactions on line without getting proof on paper. Practice printing Internet "screens" or pages before doing any actual business transactions.

I have learned also.

Go to expedia, and travelocity, or other travel sites, and plug in your days. That will give you a good overview of what the different airlines are offering, but then if you see something you like, go to that airlines website. It may be a little cheaper, maybe not. Either way you do not have to pay the booking fee, that the travel serives charge. $5.00 x 4, can help towards parking at the airport.

I see you are from Dayton. We are very close to you. If you aren't set on flying from Dayton, look at Indy. We saved about $200.00. Worth the drive.

Have a great trip.

Thanks for all the rapid replies. We have always used Air Tran and never had a problem with them, but the new internet sign up just threw me for a loop. Now the problem is finding a towncar service from the airport to the resort...

I didn't think the first one went through. This is why I needed a little assistance on booking online...sure hope I don't do this with plane reservations!

DrmWvr1299, also you can print out your boarding pass 24 hrs before flight and also pick your seats if your using Airtran. That way if you have only carry-ons you go right to security check point and bypass ticket counter lines. Some other airlines also let you do this. Just go to website and read info on it.
