Booking online question

My 7 month window is coming up and I don't want to delay getting my reservation if it's available. I am booking a Grand villa for my family, my parents and my sisters family. When I book the room will I need to add all of them at that time or can I just do my family that's already attached to my account and go back in at a later date to add the other guests to the room?

You can book with just one name and add others later. But I think if you are at the point of entering names you have the villa. People only add one name at first if they need multiple rooms.

I always book with just one name. I have had situations where in the middle of doing it the site went down and I got the dwarves, When I went back, it was gone,

I don’t change a thing, unless the lead guest is someone other than myself, if so, I put in that person‘s name, but leave address, etc. as mine and fix once I know I have secured the room.

Any time I’m trying to get a reservation, I want to get on and off as quick as possible, I have absolutely no faith in Disney IT. Waste time adding your party after you have a confirmed reservation.

Thank you everyone, every second counts in my head. I can book as of 7am eastern time when the day comes? Sorry for all the questions, I usually just book my home resort at 11 months and don't think about it.

Once the room is locked in, it is held, but only for 20 minutes. If you exceed 20 minutes before getting to the end, such as by spending time putting in a lot of names and addresses along with everything else you have to do, you can lose the reservation. Thus, just putting in only the member's name to complete the reservation, and then later modifying to add others, avoids the risk.

When I booked a GV, I put my name on it and then proceeded with the rest of the reservation. Then I emailed DVC with the names of all the other guests. They were all my son's friends, so the last names were all different.

Thank you! Fingers crossed the room is still available when I get to book. Right now every other time I look one day becomes unavailable. I have to stop looking and stressing myself out.
