If we book a non-DVC resort room with cash through member services does anyone know if we can add the dining plan without a ticket? Just wondering whether it is worth going through MS or if I should just book myself.

Ms cannot book non-DVC resorts for cash.

MS can book select non-DVC WDW resorts for points. If you book for points, you can add on the dining plan (or the QSDP) without also purchasing a ticket.
