Is there a way to check availability for multiple rooms? For example, if I was looking for 2 studio rooms for a week, is there a way to see if there are 2 available at a specific resort? Or do you have to just book the first room and hope that a second room is available?

Thanks!

Of your options, this one:
Or do you have to just book the first room and hope that a second room is available

I have booked multiple studio rooms through David's DVC. Perhaps you can give that a try. You choose the resort and the team there will let you know if there is availability. Good Luck!

Wouldn't that be something that Member Services could help you with over the phone?

We'll be booking 2 2-bedroom rooms for August 2015, but since we'll be booking 11 months out I'm not too worried about availability and was just planning on doing one after the other online.

Yes, MS would be able to possible supply the answer. The OP, IMHO was asking, if there was a way to check himself.

I don't know if even MS can check that anymore but that would be the only route you might get an answer to availability. I actually doubt that though. So unless you are needing to borrow for both rooms and thus need to know if 2 are available you just need to book one and then try and book a second one. Since there's no penalty for cancelling a room unless you have had to borrow or are within 30 days of the stay it's not difficult to cancel your first room if the second isn't available and try at a different resort.

I have booked multiple rooms at Xmas by calling member services. No problem.
