Booking more then one car

Hi,

We are going to be traveling with friends of ours in Nov 2005. We are going from the Saturday before Thanksgiving through the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I am in charge of booking everything. Can I book the rental cars with my credit card and then allow someone else to drive the car? I am not sure how that works. Can it even be done?

You would pay extra for the extra driver of the second car. You would be better off to get a credit card of another traveller and book them their own car reservation.

Thanks for the reply safetymom. I kinds of had a feeling that was going to be the answer but I wanted to double check with someone who was in the know.

Many rental car companies do not require a credit card at all for the reservation. I've made reservations for other members of my family for our upcoming trip. Just be sure to put the reservation in the name of the primary driver, which should also be who will be providing a credit card at the time of rental for payment. My family members don't have internet/email access, so I did this for them, and just listed my email address to receive the confirmation.

Thanks mareed. But, I like to rent from National using Quick Rent and for this you have to book with a cc so that you can bypass the counter and just go and pick out your car. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
