this is my very first trip to Disney world and wish to know about the fireworks 50th anniversary show and desert party and what I need to do at the 60 day mark for making reservations

So is it the 60 day mark from the day you book the trip? cause my trip is (July 3 - July 9) and I arrive at the park on July 3 in later afternoon but I’m hoping to get tickets for the after party 50th anniversary fireworks desert party on the 3rd of July

I need to book my fireworks show ticket on midnight 12AM EST on May 4th since my park pass is for Sunday July 3rd, do I need to do the reservations on May 3rd at midnight (which will be May 4th)? Or do I make the reservations on May 4th at Midnight (which would be May 5th)? so far I've been taking a look at the schedule and nothing is coming up so do the times appear at my 60 day mark

Secondly - do reservations for this follow the same rule as dining reservations i.e. certain resort guests are allowed to book their entire stay at the 60-day mark versus having to log in each day to make reservations?

Also I have seen the post online and it says Dining reservations are unavailable but the Calander shows blue meaning there are times open or already taken for those days cause I'm worried if I don't get the reservations so what is going on

How often do the reservations open every day at Midnight? (i.e. refreshes and shows new openings at midnight) or each week at midnight? (i.e. on sunday at midnight it would show new openings for the new week) or is the 50th anniversary fireworks desert party happening? Does anyone know cause this is my very first trip to disney world and would like to know before hand if that is okay

Guests staying at WDW resorts and other qualifying hotels can book dining at 60 days prior to their check-in date for their entire trip up to 10 days. Guests staying offsite can book 60 days prior to each day they want to reserve a restaurant or dining event. 60 days prior to July 3 is May 4. Reservation open online at 6:00 am, but I would be refreshing around 5:45 am. Sometimes special dining events do not load exactly 60 days out, you may not see anything available. Plus, since you are booking exactly 60 days prior to the event, you will be at a disadvantage to those staying onsite who are checking in before you. I would consider choosing a few days you would be willing to book the event in case your first choice of date is not available. If you don't see anything available at your 60 day mark, I would continue to check to see if there are cancellations.

When I booked the dessert after party the reservations opened up at midnight at the 60th mark rather than 6 AM. I was able to book the dessert party six hours before I was able to book the other dining reservations.

I have read mixed success with this however if it works you get a several hour advantage.

My travel agent told me that the dessert packages only open up 60 days before the date you want to reserve them. They are not typical ADRs with the 60 + 10.

It seems like it’s not consistent.

I booked ours for more than 60 days out and it opened at midnight.

I’ve read others say it didn’t open until 6am, as well as others only being able to book 60 days out.

What do you mean by 60 +10 cause I have been seeing that on chats and I don't understand what it means as well as ADR's what does that mean?

It means that at 60 days before checkin to your Disney resort, you can book Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for the length of your stay at that resort, including checkout day, up to a total of 10 days of ADRs.

So should I do it at Midnight on May 3rd or midnight may 4th
May 3rd midnight (as it turns to May 4th). The dessert parties do not always release at the 60 day mark, if you try it at midnight and nothing is available keep checking.

So far I have been seeing the little buz lightyear figure with ["there is no available times for {date picked} "] I've been trying to check for availabilities so I will be checking each day and see if I can book early okay that is great to hear (or see in this case) and form what it sounds like is that there is a chance of cancelation though if I book earlier than 60 days is that okay cause I'm going for a week? or should I checkback at midnight for times available as it gets closer? also the site showed that dining is unavailable but you are able to book a reservation at midnight (for most) or 6am (for others) so what is going on? (if anyone knows) cause I'm kind of getting mixed signals

I’m not sure I 100% understand what you’re asking, but….it’s been reported that dessert parties open for booking at midnight of your 60 day (ex. My 60 day is tomorrow, April 1, so I’m staying up until midnight tonight March 31 to April 1) to check for dessert party. Sometimes they open them, sometimes they don’t. I haven’t seen one straight answer probably because Disney doesn’t even know.

What day is your 60 day? Are you on staying on property?

I’m staying at Coronado Springs Resort in animal kingdom area my 60 day is may 4 but I’ll be trying to book on may 3 rd at midnight

So I just saw that June 1-9 dates have been released and the time that shows is 8:20pm EST for each date and that July is next meaning I’ll be keeping an eye out good luck to those who are trying to book right now

I was able to book for my trip, 60+4 last night of my stay, but no availability on my preferred night, Saturday. I went back to check multiple times and had a variety of all dates other than 60 turn grey, than some blue, all blue and now, the day I booked is back to grey and coming up on its 60 day. Very odd!

Were you able to book? I’m having the same issue

Treats & seats opens at midnight. When I booked 60 days before our March/April trip the After Dessert party opened up at 5:30 am and the Pre party opened at 6 am. IT keeps changing things.

If you didn’t get reservations, try 1 week before your trip and there are usually pre party openings (after parties are rare). Book an early dinner

Thanks for letting me know there might be pre party openings a week before…do you know if i could possibly book for 5 people?

It’s such a shame that even when you do everything right you still can’t get a reservation!

I was looking for 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant and saw availability.

It’s over $360 so I’m sure you will see cancellations for a party that size closer to the date.
