booking Keys to the Kingdom tour w/20% DVC discount

CM on the phone told me this morn that they charge full amt to credit card but when I check in for the tour the 20% will be credited back to my account.
Is this how they normally handle it?

NO!!! Whenever we have booked ANY of the tours (including Keys to the Kingdom and backstage magic), we were given the discount up front. We ordered them through MS.

Thats how they handled it with our tour in Aug. I thought it was because we booked it last min and they wanted to see our card, but when we gor there, no one asked to see it!

That must be new, because they have never done it that way with us befor. The last behind the scenes thing we did was last December.

So Mon I should book through MS and cancel the tour I got this morn?
He did tell me to show the card when I arrive and it would be refunded back to my credit card

If you already have a ressie, I would leave it at that, but I would make sure you get the discount refunded when you take the tour.

Last Feb. when we took the Keys tour, we got the discount at the time I booked the reservation. Charging you full price and then refunding the difference later is just asking for mistakes on a credit card! Not trying to be argumenative, but it sounds like the CM didn't know how to discount it, and was probably shuffling it to someone else. My guess is, if you don't mention it at the tour, they won't remember to give you the discount either. I think I'd call back, but that's just me.

I think you should call back and double check. I booked the Hidden Treasures of World Showcase tour this morning, and got 20% off right there and then.

Call the Tour Phone # and tell them about the mixup. The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was charged full amount for the Backstage Magic tour. When I called back to correct the problem, the CM said they would issue a refund for the 20% on my credit card.

I just checked my credit card activity, and that's exactly what happened. I was charged the full amount, and then a credit was issued.
