The prices have come down for our flights down to MCO but remain high for our return flight. Should I go ahead and book the flight down or wait for the flight back to go down too. We can leave out of Hartford or Providence. Any tips on booking. I always fly SW but now that JB flys out of Hartford I am open to this too. Any benefits from choosing either SW or JB? I'm thinking of flying down Aug 17 which is a Wed but our dates are pretty flexible. I'm thinking about returning Aug 25 or 26 either a Thur or Fri. I know you guys give great advice. What should I do? I know lots of questions.

I always book one-ways on Southwest. That way I can change each leg of the trip if prices go down.

I can't give you advice on your specific situation but I did want to say that we have book flights down and flight back separately many different times. Sometimes we fly on one airline on the way down and a different airline on the way back. It does make cancellations or rescheduling, etc. complicated should that need arise.

By the way we love Jet Blue. It is my favorite airline although sometimes it is one of the most expensive airlines out of my home airport which forces me to have to fly on a different carrier.

We always book 2 one ways. Been doing it this way for years. We sometimes fly down on SW and home on JB, but now we only use JB both ways as SW doesn't offer non-stops from our airport anymore. I love that JB has TVs at each seat (take your own headset). Plus assigned seating is great, so you don't have to pay extra for that like you do on SW (so keep that in mind when crunching numbers). Both offer free luggage with SW/2 and JB/1. The 1 bag works fine for us (unless we're cruising). Both offer credits if the price drops. JB wins on this one. They give you a credit in your trueblue account and it's good for 1 years from the day you get it. They also combine the entire family into one total credit and you can use it however you wish. SW gives you a credit but it's one year from the day you actually purchased the ticket (so less time to use it). If SW still flew out of Dulles non-stop I would still use them when the price is right. But I'm happy with Jetblue!

Like the other poster, we don't know more about your specific situation. If you are pleased with the price for the flight south, why not book it? I don't think there are benefits to choosing either SW or Jet Blue. Both are good airlines. Since your return is flexible and during the week, you may benefit from booking one way tickets on return. Just keep on top of the prices every day, looking for specials.

You guys are the best. I never thought about flying SW down and JB back. JB prices for the flight back are better than SW. Maybe I will do that. It really doesn't matter what airline we take I just want the best price. I'm off to check prices again. Thanks again.:goodvibes

Just keep in mind if something happens and you need to change the dates of your trip you will have to pay two cancelation fee's unless of course you book with SWA.. But we have booked one ways before and it turned out ok.
