I received an email after requesting "Jack's Pack" (I think that is so funny) and it said that the date was available and they penciled me in.. does that mean it's set in stone as long as I send back the information when I get it? Or is that just some line they send everyone?

Thanks!

heres what happened to us..

We asked for the date, we were pencilled in. We then sent back the slip to confirm the date that was in the jack pack. I called a month or two before to make sure everythign was still on go (Actually I think i e-mailed). I sent him our vows about 2 weeks before (im a late one ,i know!)... he followed up saying everything was on go.... i called him while in orlando to confirm one last time (no answer). Apparently DFTW takes it upon themselves to call the officiant to make sure that everything is okay. Rev Jack showed up-- we had very very little contact with him until we actually sent in the vows.

E-mail him on a regular basis to make sure everything is in check, if you have any doubts.

You were told you are pencilled in... which means.. hes gonna count on doing your wedding that day. Just fill the form out, send it back him.. and conduct all your business as though rev jack is your officiant. GL:thumbsup2

Last week I requested more info on Rev Jack's website (just to see if i could find out anything else that might not be explained on his website), and soon received an email saying "Congratulations! We have your date available and penciled you in!"

I was a little thrown off because I was only asking for more info, not emailing to book him (me and DF are still debating on an officiant). I guess when you email a request for more info they assume you want to book him? :confused3

If that's who you want to book, then I guess you're all set! If not, you might want to call/email and make sure everyone's on the same page. Let us know what happens!

Thanks for the help (I was on my FMIL's name!) I am hoping that they just assume I want to book him - I've heard good things about him on here - and I want that to be the easiest part of whole process! It is funny that everything is through email and there is not more personal conversation - oh well, I guess they figure it's nothing new!
