Why can't I book/price a package that includes camping? I can only book/price a cabin. Is this normal? Any way around it? I'd like to check prices online before I call to book it.

Were you at Disney World web site? (assume so, but just checking). I did this a couple of weeks ago and was able to choose a campsite. I'm going to go back right now and try again, just to satisfy myself that that's what I had!

Ok, I just did it again and it worked, so here's a breakdown of where I was and what I clicked:

Go to www.disneyworld.com; it will take you to the main page.

Click on Vacation Packages, then plug in dates and how many people (and kid's ages if applicable).

Next page you can choose certain or all resorts; in the drop-down menu there's a choice for Fort Wilderness. Choose this.

Next thing that comes up is a box for the campsites, rates at $39 - whatever per night, and the box below that is for the cabins.

You should be able to choose options within the campsites box - partial hook-up, full, etc.. and keep going from there.

Hope you can get it to work!!

I guess it is just booked a year in advance then. The dates of Dec 19-29, 2006 qon't work. It said there was no availability and I had assumed there was an error. If it works for you all, it just must really be full already for those dates!

Thanks for your help!!

Oh, for those dates, yes!! I read somewhere else on this forum that FW is already booked for the month of December this year!!

As I know others have suggested at different times, you can always keep calling, literally every morning, to see if anything opens up due to cancellation. Good luck!

mommyoeo, you might want to actually call them anyway - I was just reading on the camping forum about the campground being booked already for next year (which is what I based my last comment on) but there were also some folks who called recently and got dates in December. That's when I remembered that WDW only allots certain rooms and campsites to the web site for booking, so there may actually be availability, but it won't show on the web site. You can call them for a quote and not be obligated to buy! But, with the campground so popular in December and apparently filling fast, you may want to decide sooner than later.

Again, good luck!
