I am planning on booking a few nights hotel accomadation direct with disney for our X-Mas 09 holiday. I've been told you can book 499 days in advance if you ring them, which would be mid August this year.

Can anyone confirm that you can ring 499 days before and do you think this would be the cheapest time to book?

Sorry don't know answer but if you are looking for cheapest route, Direct is not always best.
I have 3 nights at POR booked for August, used Hotelopia, used a 15% discount code and got 10% cashback from rpoints.com only downside is you have to pay upfront but if I see a better rate elsewhere(waiting see if they release AP rate) its only £15 to cancel.
Expedia sometimes have free nights at Disney hotels, sometimes a little cheaper than direct.
Check both Disney.com and Disney.co.uk either can be cheaper.

I should have added, I need to book before the end of this year and therefore I think I would have to book direct with Disney but if that is not the case great!

I have heard they let you book so far out but can't tell you price, quote you previous years price then update price later.
Never had reason to book more than a few months before travel, get great prices offsite then but I think Disney is a set price with little variation unless you get a discount code, AP or AA Etc.

How much discount do you get with the AA?
