Hi all.
I'm a new DVC owner with a direct contract and resale contract. Both contracts and my available points show on the site.
I am trying to book a stay for April with my resale contract, but the website keeps defaulting to my direct member #, which is a much smaller point allotment, so I can't book.
I was hoping to avoid calling Member Support.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
 
It's a click option. Uncheck your Direct contract box and then select your resale contract box as 1st contract to use.
And I'm assuming that there are both under the same UY and member number.

That's what I thought it would be, but, for some reason, I have 2 membership IDs. ( my direct contract is at Riviera, so that may be why). both point listings show on my dashboard.
So, I can't find a way to switch from the Riviera ID # to my resale #???

I only have one membership ID, so I don't know how to swap member numbers. I'm sure we got plenty of folks that can help you out. I'm assuming it would be another log in to get to the resale contract.
 

Do you mean you have two different use years and thus two different member numbers? If that is the case then when you click Book a Vacation and get the next page, Start a Vacation, you need to make sure you go down to the My Home Resorts section of that page and under Membership choose the correct membership number that you want to use.

If you mean the points are in the same use year and membership number, then after you have chosen dates and room and get to the Your Room Is Available page, you just need to check only the particular contract you want to use.

Note, however, that if your points in that resale contract are for a resort other than the one you are trying to reserve, and the reservation you want begins April 2 or after (beyond the 7-month window), you will not be allowed to do either of the above since the reservation can be made only with points owned in the resort you are trying to reserve.

You will have 2 membership numbers if they are titled differently or if they are different UYs. Owning RIV does impact membership numbers otherwise.

When you go into vacation planning, there should be a drop down menu for choosing the membership that you wish to use for making a reservation.

THAT'S what I needed to do! 2 separate #'s and using the "book a vacation " tab and scrolling down to change home resorts.
