Hi,

Sorry in advance for all of the length of this post. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give.

It is coming up to the 11 month window for my next trip home. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out which of my booking options would be best?

We live in the UK so we can only get home to OKW every other year. We have had a horrible year, so we're treating ourselves to a 21 night trip, instead of the usual 14.

Our trip dates are 29th October to 19th November 2013.

We own at OKW. I have 199 June UY points remaining from 2012, and I will have my full allotment of 250 points next year.

We already have a hotel room for the first 2 nights (29th and 30th). This is booked, for cash, through CRO. We are trying to stay at all of the WDW resort hotels, and this crosses another one off of the list.

We are looking at staying for the next 2 nights (31st and 1st), at one of the DVC resorts we haven't tried yet. Which one that will be, will be decided at the 7 month window.

I then need to book a 17 night stay (checking in on the 2nd, checking out on the 19th) in a one bedroom at our home resort. I need an accessible room, with a roll in shower.

I am trying to decide which of the following methods I should use to book our trip.

1. Book online on the 29th November for the first 14 nights of the trip. Then walk the booking back through MS, to make sure I can get the same room from check in on the 2nd to check out on the 19th.

2. Book online for the first 14 nights of the DVC portion of the trip, from 31st. Then add on the rest of the days as I can book them.

3. Book online for the 31st and the 1st, as I know I will need this as a seperate reservation for the 7 month window. Then book the rest of the days in a 14 night block, and add the extra as they become available.

I don't particualrly like the idea of walking the reservation, but I am a massive planner, and want to know the booking is made.

I am concerned about option 2. I am worried that I will have to cancel the whole 14 night booking, just to get the 2 nights changed.

I am slightly worried by option 3. I am concerned that by leaving the largest part of my booking until my 11 month window has been open for a few days, I will struggle to get the roll in shower room I need.

Thank you to anyone who has gotten this far.

You can only book seven nights at a time. You could book the first seven nights, then book another night by calling. Or you could wait seven days and book the next seven nights. Repeat whichever method works the best for you. If book separate reservations, just send MS an e-mail with the reservation numbers and ask that they be linked.

Hi Deb,

Thanks for the prompt response.:goodvibes

I thought that the online system allowed booking of 14 nights at a time.:confused3

I hope someone can clarify the situation for me if that is incorrect.

Thanks.

Seven nights at a time sid. I wouldn't worry at okw 11 month window though.

HC rooms are a separate booking category when booking online and as PP, you can only book for 7 days.

OKW tends to have availability at 7 months so getting your total reservation at 11 months shouldn't be a problem.

If you wait 7 days into your booking window, you can book up to 14 days online. It's the same for MS, if you wait to call 7 days later in your booking window. Both MS and online are restricted to making reservations for 14 days.

Are you interested in getting a room in the hospitality house area too? There aren't very many buildings at OKW that have an elevator and most (if not all are in the HH area, others here on the DisBoards know exact details). Because of the need for an HA room with a roll in shower, I think I'd call MS for them to do the booking. I realize that might be more difficult with you living in the UK but MS could help you get the room you really need.
