Booking guidelines/split stay and more mish mash!

I am planning our next trip.

1. If we want to check in on May 11, 2010. Do I call on June 11, 2009 now?

2. If I split our stay by staying at a mod to save weekend points but re-checked in to my home resort on Sunday May 16, 2010. I would have to request another reservation starting June 16, 2009???? I am assuming I cannot link split stays and will need to make another seperate reservation? TIA
