Booking future date while on board

I know there are threads that include this topic but I couldn't find some specifics I was hoping for ... Here's our scenario:

Cruising this June 2016 and possibly want to book 11 day Southern Caribbean for 2017 while on board. What is the discount? On board credit? And deposit amount (% of total?) THANKS! Cheers!

THANK YOU!!! That could save quite a bit of $$$! Kicking myself for not doing that last summer on our 1st cruise as here we are cruising again 1 year later!!

Thanks again!! You're always so quick! Truly appreciate your knowledge!! As mentioned in my previous post/reply, that could save us quite a bit of money!! Deposits are usually 20%? and the fact we get 10% off the price and OBC! Wow! That could be about $1,300 saving right off the top! Cheers!

I highly recommend booking the cruise now and not waiting until June. That cruise is very popular and the prices are likely to rise more than the 10% discount and OBC.

In addition to what KristiMc said - while you are on your cruise this summer book a placeholder OBB. Then when they release the dates for 2018, you can book using your placeholder with all the benefits and the cheaper prices. Making sure that you start your 2018 cruise before the date that your placeholder expires.

Also wanted to add - when you are on the cruise you can "reshop" your booking. If it has not gone up more than the 10% + OBC you can cancel your original booking and book again with the savings.
