Hi all,

Probably a bit of a pre-mature question but this is one thing I really want to get cracking on as I have all our other trips sorted for next year!

We want to visit Tokyo and Disneyland for our 10th anniversary in Septemer 2014! and was wondering is it best to book a package with someone from the UK or DIY?

Was just hoping people could share their plans of what they did to book.

Thanks, as always :)

We've booked our entire trip to Japan thru' Audley, telling them what kind of thing we wanted to do and then tweaking it until it was our 'perfect trip'. They booked the hotels, JR rail ticket, Disney tickets and then gave us details of where things are, what to see, suggested train timetables etc. so we are on our own, but have the security of knowing everything should just slot into place. Once you're here, it's pretty easy as many things are written and spoken in English and the people are amazingly helpful. We are really having a great time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit and we will come back again some time.

We actually went the DIY route. We booked our flights and our Tokyo city-centre hotel with Expedia and then booked the Hotel Miracosta through the Tokyo Disney website. Everything else waited until we got there (transfers from the airport, subway passes, coach trip to Mt. Fuji, etc.). It all worked out really well and it was surprisingly simple to do. If you need any details of what we did and where we stayed or any advice, just ask!
