Hubby has a week off in the summer hols, flights are very reasonable so we had a quick look at the DLRP hotel/ticket prices and they are through the roof - over £1k for 4 nights at Cheyenne. But there is no deal on at all - apart from 1 day/night free on some packages and free kids under 7. There will be an offer on at some point won't there?

I know there is no guarantee - but what is the past experiences of summer hol packages?

Am sure there was a flash sale last year that included July & August. Hoping for the same as we have a free Eurostar trip to use!

I hope there is! I won't pay the current brochure prices.

We benefited from the flash sale 50% last year in July, but we only booked a couple of weeks before going, so you need to be prepared to wait. Going by past experience, when a main offer ends (whatever the closing date) a flash sale usually follows. At the moment it's just the brochure price. The free nights offer is in the brochure too - so no special deals just now.

Also, re flights: I booked ours in early January, and have noticed that if I was booking the same flights today, it would be £260 more. So might be worth booking them if you are definitely going. Always easier to find a hotel than to find cheap travel.

I read on dlrp magic that the official 20th anniversary advertising starts in the UK on 24th February, so I think there will be some deals to be had when that starts.

It's probably only us lot on here (and other forums) that know about the anniversary :lmao:

:lmao: @ Ms Poppins re 20th celebrations!

I also think you need to book your flights if you are confident you are going. That is what we have done for our two trips. Flights, as I'm sure you know, go up daily - we lost out by £240 on booking June flights (as they had gone up by this much by the time DH sorted his holidays out!).

It is also a fact that the more your view a particular flight, the more the price goes up :scared1:. So, clear your cookies if viewing regularly :thumbsup2

Who do you fly with? Thing is we aren't totally sure we are going - we could only go if we could get hotel/tickets for £400 for 2 or 3 nights!

unless you can find a full price of £800 now for the dates you want in the summer, you're very unlikely to be able to go for £400 onsite (as you'd need a 50% off offer to come out for your dates wouldn't you).

Alternatively, with 2 adults and a 3-year old you could go the cemultiavantages site and get 2 adult annual passes and your 3-year olds would be free. then you'd be looking at getting a hotel room nearby for around £75 per room per night - which is do-able :).

Sorry, been meaning to reply to your pm but haven't had a chance yet :headache:.

Fly with Air France or Easyjet - we are doing one trip with one, and the other trip with the other. Just depends on flight times etc - Easyjet don't fly Thursdays so it was no good for one of our trips. Flybe also fly (think they are quite new to that route) but they tend to be expensive - £250 for flights is fab if you can get them for that - don't think we've ever paid that so that is great! Ours for June are £640 plus insurance :scared1:!

It gets quite expensive for us now as both girls cost more on flights :lmao:  and we have to pay for DD1 at Disney as she is over 7 but we have APs for the next two trips :thumbsup2.

Hope you get sorted - staying offsite is an option if you don't mind non Disney (esp if you get APs) as Carrie says. Failing that would you go for less nights? The Magic Circus & Dream Castle look fab hotels and are not far. The only issue being August is peak season so the shuttle buses will be very busy . Probably not an issue if you go for EMH though as majority won't be.

Hopefully a flash sale will come along for August! Although saying that, I'm still waiting for June and to be honest the last 2 offers haven't been for my dates so I'm getting less hopeful :rolleyes1....

When we went late Aug 2009 I think all we got off was one day & night free and we booked it quite late as we weren't going to visit that year :rotfl2:.

Last August we got the residhome val d'europe for about £200 for 2 nights and we didn't book until a couple of weeks before we went. We found doing this and buying annual passes through ce multiavantages was cheaper than staying 2 nights on site even with offers. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone.

Currently we could get 2 nights, 3 days at Santa Fe for £719. So if a 40 or 50% offer came up it would be a possibility! Then maybe stay offsite on the night we arrive so we get 3 full days in the park.

Dream Castle is coming in very expensive.

Found an aparthotel for £299 for 4 nights - it is this:

Park & Suites Village Marne La Vallée - Montevrain
12, Rue de la Société des Nations Montevrain, 77144 France

Would this be a nightmare to get to and from? If we had AP we would then get 5 days in the parks, for £200 more than budget!

If it is where it looks like it is you'd really need a car :confused3

What about the hotels that are at Val d'Europe like the Etap hotel, Ibis etc :)
