How far in advance should we book? Is there a dress code? What is the best time to book for? We would like to try some other restauarants on site (We will be on honeymoon), any recommendations? Thanks, Verity.xxxxx

If you know what day and time you want, go ahead and call as soon as you can - which is 60 days prior. What time depends on you. What time do you *like* to eat dinner? What are your plans for the rest of that day? Do you want to try to be there for the MK fireworks? Etc.

The only official dress code is no tank tops. However, most folks come in "dressy casual" clothes - polo shirt and khakis or dressy shorts at a minimum.

Consider the goat cheese ravioli appetizer and the pork tenderloin entree - both are FABULOUS.

Some other excellent ambiancey restaurants IMO are:

Artist Point - Wilderness Lodge
Palio - Swan
Citrico's and Victoria & Albert'$ - Grand Floridian
Yachtsman Steakhouse - Yacht Club

Always mention when you make your PS and again when you check in that you're on your honeymoon. Sometimes nothing will happen, other times, say hello to the Magic! :)

Besides Mhopkins great suggestions I would also recommend Narcoossee's at the GF for dinner. For lunch, we like Chefs de France, Cinderella's Royal Table and Rose and Crown.

PSs for California Grill and other Disney resort restaurants, Epcot restaurants and MGM lunch reservations can be made 120 days out. MGM dinner PSs and all MK PSs can be made 60 days out.

Dinner shows can be reserved further out.

Nothing I can add to these two replies.. except maybe Jiko's to the "other restaurant " list.

D'oh! You're so right - sorry about that!! :)

we've had good meals at the following places:

Teppanyaki in Japan at Epcot
Spoodles at Boardwalk
Flying Fish at Boardwalk
Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge
Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney
Portebello Yacht Club at Downtown Disney
Rainforest Cafe - either location
Cape May Cafe at Beach Club (breakfast buffet)
Beaches and Cream at Beach Club
Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge

Since the restaurants know this is a vacation destination I don't think you would be looked down on coming in straight from the parks. We did, and the service was good no matter what we were wearing.

Have fun!!

I booked only 8 days in advance for our trip next week and got a PS within 15 minutes of our ideal time! I was worried I had waited too long, but it worked out great!
