We usually don't go at busy times, so I have never really booked anything in advance. We have friends coming down for Spring Break (March 25 - 29) and want to reserve rooms. We want POR or POFQ.

I am both a FL resident and an AP holder. I know it's too early for any discounts, but should I go ahead and book now and then would it possible to apply any discount that comes out to the reservation I already have?

Have there been discounts available for this busy time of year in the past?

Thanks for any help/advice!

Yes, there have been discounts. There are two theories on if you should book now. I say if you are going and staying at the resort "x" regardless of discounts book now. If your going or resort choices depends on discounts, wait to book. The higher the booked occupancy of any resort, the less likely that resort (or room type) will have discount rooms.

Sorry, that wasn't a real answer

Actually it was an answer...thanks! I guess we will wait, as even though we want POR or POFQ any moderate would be ok (just don't want a value or deluxe). I'm assuming that the value resorts will fill up first during Spring Breaks.

We went Easter week 2005 and stayed at POFQ. There was a general room only code during that time period, and an AP code. We booked in December of 2004.
