Booking for Others on Opening Day

Yes, but did your TA ask DCL? Many TAs do not really know all DCL ins and outs.

I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I did point out we were both gold. She is pretty knowledgeable in regard to Disney Cruises. I use Dreams Unlimited. I'm hoping she was wrong. We were really hoping to be next to the grandkids. Guess we'll have to change cabins if she can't get them next to us. We were hoping to share the veranda between us.

OK, if it's Dreams Unlimited, chances are they know. But, it won't hurt to ask anyway.

I phoned DCL last week to ask this question because for our next cruise 6 of us are gold and 6 are not and we need 4 rooms. 3 of the gold are under 18 years of age. I was told that we would have to split up on the reservation and you did not have to be 18 for it to count as gold for that room. someone else in the room would have to be 18 though. we will also not be able to move everyone around after on the reservation but as previously mentioned getting extra keys are fine. And this is right from the email we received from Disney this morning. Does not mention having to over 18 to be able to book tomorrow.

So here is my scenario (just want to make sure I got it right lol!)

We are a family of 3. Me, DH and DD14 are gold. we have a placeholder cruise that we will use to put on one of the Summer 2017 cruises when I call tomorrow. We will book a veranda room.

My friends are a family of four (DW, DH, DS 14 & DS12). They want an oceanview room. Never sailed before.

So my understanding is that I could put my DH name on their oceanview room in order to book it tomorrow. But then I would have to put one of their names in our room or else there would be too many people in that room.

Is that correct?
