booking for family of 4

I've been looking on the Disneycruise web site...
This may seem obvious, but I've never cruised...
If you book on line, and say you have 2 adults and 2 children, booking a standard inside stateroom...
will they make sure you are in a room that DOES sleep 4?
Many of the categories say "sleeps 3 (some 4)"

Also, what is the configuration of one that sleeps 4, as the description says Queen bed and single convertable sofa?
Where does the 4th person sleep?

Yes, if you are a party of 4, they will not book you in a room that holds less than that. The 4th person would be in the "bunk" bed that folds down from the ceiling. They hold up to 220 pounds.

There is a queen sized bed and a privacy curtain and then the sofa converts to single bed and a pull down bed is the forth. It becomes like a top and bottom bunk

Yes, If you book a cruise for 4 people, they will make sure your room will sleep 4. If all the 4 person rooms were booked in that category, they would not let you book one.


The fourth bed is a pull-down berth which I believe is over the couch. There are pictures of these available. Check out Dave's DCL Tribute Site

If you book a family of 4, they will only put you in a stateroom that holds 4. It sleeps 2 on the big bed, the couch folds into a bed, and a bunk drops out of the ceiling. In the "sleeps 3" rooms, there is no bunk.

We're still hoping for a room change. DCL refused to give my TA a "sleeps 4" room when there were not 4 of us, even though DD specifically wants the bunk bed. We were told that they'll see about moving us as we get closer to the cruise date...so we'll just have to keep bugging them!

How about I join you on the cruise. I'll pay my own way and Disney will have to give you a cabin for 4. I'll even let your daughter sleep in the top bunk (LOL).
