Booking for 2008?

Does anyone know when packages for 2008 will come out? Also, has anyone been able to book room only for Nov 2008? I called and they told me 499 days, but I know in the past, I had booked out further than that, and also on another board, I read someone had already booked for Dec 2008? Does anyone know when I may be able to book? Thanks!

I know that, for 2006 and 2007, the package prices came out mid-August. I booked our June, 2006 trip on August 19, 2005. I booked our June, 2007 trip on August 15, 2006. I was told, in July of each year, that I could book room only and later change it to a package but I just waited until the package prices came out.

So....it would seem that, historically, the next year's packages come out in mid-August of each year.

We booked our reservations for February 2008, and I was told that the packages for 2008 would probably come out around July or August. I'm not sure if that is accurate or not, because the reservation agent was not positive. However, she said that that's historically when they are released. She also told us that the price of our park tickets is guaranteed, but the room rates would probably change.

I was told, if you book now for 08 it will be a room only reservation, packages are not available. When the rates come out your reservation will be cancelled and whatever you have paid will be refunded. Seemed like a hassle to me so I am waiting until packages come out. Not a lot of time for a January trip.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I need to try to wait patiently. I'm guessing the 499 days is new, because in early April 2004, I booked room only for Nov 2005, which was more days than that. Oh well, I'll check back in July. Thanks.

I was also told August for a package. . .I want my birthday so this might cut it a bit close (March) for planning, but then again, maybe I am just anxious to book a 4th trip. . .lol. Dang, I am on a roll. . .I have an August trip, a September trip, a December trip and now I want a March trip? I may end up in Divorce Court by June 2008. . .but that would only be because my DH is probably hating the fact that I love Disney so much. . .

If we are planning on going in January 2008 should we book the room only so we can start getting ADRs? Or can we get them without a room reservation. Also if we wait until August will we have trouble getting the room type we want?
