So, I'm honeymooning at Disney in September. I can book our dining starting in late March. Is it going to cause any issues if I make dining reservations well before having my hotel booked and park tickets purchased? I don't know how things work with the new MagicBand system, and want to hold off on booking my hotel and purchasing tickets until the traditional Fall discounts come out in April. Of course, we plan on staying in a Royal Room at POR so I probably don't qualify for any of those discounts anyway!
There is no problem - you do not need a room reservation to book ADRs. We have booked before having our resort reservation planned, and many stay off site and still book dining reservations. The only disadvantage you will have is that w/o a room reservation you cannot book 180+10, which means being able to book for your whole week at 180 days, rather than having to do it one day at a time. It is obviously easier to do in one day, and you can then try for harder ones first, like Be Our Guest or Ohana, that you might want later in the week, before others scoop them up.
