Hey everyone, not been on here for ages, so what's new in the world of dis?

I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever booked their flights in with their package on DLRP website.

I've never had that option when booking before, usually when I go to add transport the flights option is blanked out so I couldn't choose it.

Anyway, I put in all the details for our trip and it works out at around £200 less than booking the exact same flights via Air france direct. I think it's because the children are free? So although the flights are more expensive it works out cheaper because we're not paying for the kids iykwim. AND it includes the VEA both ways. I'm just wondering if it's too good to be true and can i definitely book the flights via the website, have any of you done this and it all been ok?

My other concern is that the last time we went (exactly the same flights etc) we got sooooo lost at CDG. We never did find the VEA and even the taxi bit we found wasn't the proper taxi bit and none of the taxi drivers spoke a word of English. I honestly have no idea where we were, there were no info bits or people to ask, so what if we don't find the VEA? For people that have flown in to Terminal 2, where is the VEA? Sorry this has turned into quite a long message but any help much appreciated.

Thanks guys :)

Most people find that it works out cheaper to book their flights separately but if your flight-inclusive quote is working out cheaper then I know what I'd do! :thumbsup2 As you say it must be the offer that's making it cheaper. Perhaps it's new being able to book flights online? :confused3

We flew into Terminal 2F last year but didn't use the VEA as with 5 of us it was only marginal dearer to hire a private shuttle. As we were walking towards where the car was parked I noticed the VEA stop, it was signposted but it wasn't a very large sign.

Here are the instructions of where to catch it if you are travelling into 2E/2F Terminal 2E-2F - Gate 5 of the Gallery - Level 0, exit 0.09.
If you're coming into 2A/2C it's Terminal 2A-2C - Gate A11/C1 and 2B/2D it's Terminal 2B-2D - Gate D12.

Hope this helps. :)

I think it must be a new thing because I was having a fiddle about with the dates and it would seem I can't book flights with the package until January, so I think it must be something they're doing new for 2009. I think they must be doing children travel free because when I got a quote for my sister and her bf it was exactly the same price as for me, oh and the 3 kids. Obviously a fab price for us :cool1: , but not so fab for my sis :sad1: (£954 half board, 6 days, 5 nights with £62 cashback through Quidco :yay: :yay: :yay: )

That information for the vea is excellent, thanks Elaine. I don't know what your experience of CDG is but June was our first time there and it put me off for life. I was actually seriously considering flying into Beauvais instead  but between your advice and the advice on my other post, I'm feeling slightly better about it now.

Now I just have to see if oh can change his hols from end of January to beginning so that we get the christmas experience and I can book it and start getting really excited :goodvibes :goodvibes :rotfl:

Thanks again!

Good luck with OH changing his hol dates :wizard:

I'm sure you'll do OK with finding your way this time. We've only flown once and as I said were met by the driver so it was very very easy for us but after having spent the night at CDG on our journey home I now feel Terminal 2 is a very familiar place!! :rotfl:
